Jonathan Stark

Managing Director

Jonathan Stark is a Managing Director at Thalēs Capital Partners. He focuses on connecting institutional investors with differentiated alternative investment strategies and works closely with hedge fund managers on capital raising, investor engagement, and strategic positioning.

Mr. Stark brings over 20 years of experience across allocator, capital introduction, and hedge fund business development roles. His background spans both the buy and sell sides, providing him with a well-rounded perspective on investor priorities and manager positioning.

Prior to joining Thalēs, Mr. Stark led business development at Penso Advisors and Totem Macro Asset Management, where he focused on volatility, macro, and emerging markets quantamental strategies. Earlier in his career, he held roles in capital introduction at J.P. Morgan and invested in hedge funds at AIFAM Inc. and Kenmar Global. He also gained experience across multiple asset classes, including equities, foreign exchange, fixed income, and energy, at firms such as Citigroup, UBS, Credit Suisse First Boston, and Shell.

Mr. Stark holds an MBA from Columbia University, dual B.S./M.S. degrees from Carnegie Mellon University, and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA).
