David Modiano

Managing Director, Head of Capital Strategies

David Modiano is a Managing Director and Head of Capital Strategies at Thalēs Capital Partners. He is responsible for leading the firm’s strategic advisory and capital development initiatives, working closely with hedge fund managers to refine business strategy, enhance market positioning, and accelerate growth.

Mr. Modiano brings nearly two decades of experience in the alternative investment industry, with a focus on hedge fund seeding, capital formation, and business development. Since joining Thalēs, he has played a key role in advising emerging and established managers on strategic planning, investor engagement, and platform development.

Prior to joining Thalēs, Mr. Modiano was a Partner and Head of Business Development at Mill Hill Capital, a New York-based credit hedge fund. Earlier in his career, he spent ten years at Investcorp and Lyxor Asset Management, where he focused on sourcing, seeding, and supporting early-stage hedge funds. In that role, he conducted extensive due diligence on a broad universe of managers and was directly involved in negotiating and executing multiple seed investments.
